Nita Ambani Inaugurates India House at Paris 2024 Olympics, Marking Historic Milestone!!
The Paris 2024 Olympics have commenced, marking a historic milestone for India with the inauguration of the first-ever India 🇮🇳 House at La Villette, Paris.
Mrs. Nita Ambani, founder of the Reliance Foundation, inaugurated the house.
CCIFI President Bénédicte Brouard and Vice President Coumar ANANDA attended the opening of the India House on Saturday, July 27th, where they had the opportunity to meet Mr. Mukesh Ambani and Mrs. Nita Ambani
Also present on this occasion were HE Jawed Ashraf, Indian Ambassador to France, Mr. Jay Shah, Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, and Olympic Gold Medallist Abhinav A. Bindra OLY and Indian Olympic Association president and legendary athlete PT Usha.
The event was further distinguished by the presence of Thibaut de Navacelle de Coubertin, General Secretary of the Pierre de Coubertin Family Association, which honors the legacy of Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games.
The India House, established by the Reliance Foundation in collaboration with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), symbolizes India's growing presence in the Olympics and its aspirations to host the 2036 Games. Nita Ambani emphasized that India House serves as a "home away from home" for athletes, celebrating their achievements and fostering a sense of community. This initiative marks a turning point for India, with the Olympic flame's historic journey from Athens potentially leading to a future in India.
The venue offers an immersive experience with yoga sessions, cultural workshops, traditional crafts, and exclusive events such as panel discussions and celebrations of Indian athletes' victories. The opening event was a vibrant celebration featuring performances by Bollywood star Shaan, traditional Indian music, and a remarkable demonstration of Mallakhamb by visually impaired children.
