The 9th edition of France India Business Day was held on 24 September 2024 at the iconic Palais de la Bourse in Marseille organised by Business Club France Inde.
The event brought together key stakeholders from both French and Indian businesses to highlight the growing economic ties and opportunities between the two nations.
The conference focused on bilateral trade figures, key sectors of collaboration, and the successes of French companies operating in India and vice versa.
A keynote speech was delivered by Mr. Gérard Mestrallet, the French Presidency's Special Envoy for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC) and former President of Engie and Suez. Mr. Mestrallet discussed the IMEEC project’s significance, emphasizing its potential to transform global supply chains and connectivity, with Marseille playing a strategic role as a hub for this new corridor.
Ms. Eenam Gambhir, Deputy chief of mission of the Embassy of India to the Republic of France and Principality of Monaco, also gave a speech at the event, highlighting the strong diplomatic and economic partnerships between India and France.
CCIFI was a proud partner at the event. Bénédicte Brouard, President of CCIFI, participated in the panel discussion on bilateral trade between France and India. Her insights into key sectors and the impact of French and Indian companies in each other's economies provided valuable context for fostering future collaborations.
The event served as a prime networking opportunity, facilitating direct connections between Indian and French businesses and institutions. It concluded with networking between Indian & French companies & institutions, strengthening collaboration across various sectors.
