The Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie Franco-Indienne celebrated its 40th anniversary with great enthusiasm on the evening of May 28th, 2024. This significant milestone was honoured by the presence of His Excellency Jawed Ashraf, Ambassador of India to the Republic of France and the Principality of Monaco.
🎈The celebration took place at École Ducasse. This venue was thoughtfully chosen to pay homage to the rich gastronomic heritage shared by France and India, symbolizing the fusion of cultures and the vital role of culinary arts in both nations.
Ambassador Jawed Ashraf delivered an insightful address, emphasizing strategies to further strengthen and enhance French-Indian relations. He lauded CCIFI for its exceptional efforts in fostering economic and cultural ties between the two countries. His remarks underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration and the promising potential for future growth in bilateral relations.
CCIFI President Bénédicte Brouard also spoke, outlining the Chamber's future direction. She emphasized the Chamber's renewed focus on supporting Indian companies seeking to establish themselves in France, aiming to enhance assistance and facilitate smoother market entry for these businesses.
A highlight of the evening was the Ambassador's interaction with Indian students at École Ducasse. Ambassador Ashraf engaged with the students, inquiring about their future plans and aspirations. This session provided the students with a unique opportunity to discuss their ambitions and gain valuable insights from a distinguished diplomat.
Following this interaction, the students conducted a tour of the Ecole Ducasse campus (spanning 5000 square meters) for the attendees. This tour showcased the institution's world-class facilities and its commitment to culinary excellence. Ecole Ducasse is also expanding in India and creating new avenues for young talents with ambitious plans to launch new culinary ventures.
The evening concluded with a dining cocktail at the Adour Restaurant, featuring an array of exquisite delicacies. The selection of wines and gastronomic delights prepared by the chefs highlighted the culinary synergy between France and India, bringing the celebration to a memorable close.
